We've taken a break from the Bulgaria pics - the above is one of the most common breeding birds in Northern Irealnd (easy...sort of).

There is one record of this species in Northern Ireland - Aghnaleck, Co. Down, 3rd june 2005












How was this photo obtained? See the photo below for a scene of carnage - the lads found this poor blighter in Bulgaria when they stopped the car.
