Many thanks to Geoff Campbell for a super picture of the Laughing Gull. I retract my statement that it doesn't like bread and will prove it with a photograph in the morning. When it gets hungry it is greedy and the slice of bread near done for it!

A momentous day or two - the rare bird drought in Northern Ireland seems to be easing. Not a bad spell over the last few weeks but little that has hung around to be actually twitched - anyway, we want more of the same please. A nice rare wader would do the job! Apologies for no moth posts today - it was all a bit too exciting
