Short-eared Owl (SEO) is an uncommon winter visitor and a rare breeder in NI. As our only diurnal Owl, it is well worthwhile looking out for this species on any bogland in NI. Across the UK and Ireland, this autumn has seen quite a few birds arrive on our shores. We have already had a photographed bird from Myroe and two birds have been at Ballyquinton Co.
