The adult American Golden Plover remained at Myroe today (Daniel Newton \ Brian McCloskey).

Bloody Foreland, Co Donegal over 4 hours from 6:45 to 10:45 had Cory Shearwater 122, Great Shear 16 and Manx Shearwater c.3,000.  14 Arctic and 7 Sandwich Tern.  3 Red-throated Diver and 1 Great Skua (Ralph Sheperd, Derek Brennan, Chris Ingram and Mike McLaughlin)

Bird News Saturday 29th July

The Black-winged Pratincole remains at Blanket Nook, Co Donegal (Chris Ingram et al).

Adult American Golden Plover again midday at the Roe Estuary end in field being worked on but no sign of the Black-headed Wagtail at Myroe (Ivan Quail, Nicky Lynn, Garry Armstrong & Stuart McKee).

Bird News Friday 28th July

 The six Little Terns, an adult Little Gull and four Goosanders are at the Bann Estuary this morning. (Dean Jones).

The Black-headed Wagtail was in the fields along the middle road at Myroe again this morning before being flushed by machinery. (Bob Watts).

An adult American Golden Plover is at Myroe, seen on the turfield by the middle road it flew out onto the mudflats. (Bob Watts). A leucistic Pied Wagtail was also present on the turfields. (John Clarke). The American Golden Plover was back on the turfields at 4.30 this afternoon. (Paul Milne).

A female Hen Harrier was in the Antrim hills this morning. (Olcán Shaw)

A Great Shearwater and a Balearic Shearwater were seen from the Belfast Cairnryan ferry. (Gyorgy Szimuly).

The Black-winged Pratincole and four Crossbills were at Blanket Nook in Donegal. (Paul Milne). The Pratincole was still present at 8pm, it spent time in the fields with Lapwing and was difficult to see but came to roost on the spit and showed well from the west end of the causeway. (Eric Randall).

The Black-winged Pratincole remains at Blanket Nook, Co Donegal though fairly distant in far field with Lapwing from causeway and frequently out of sight (Jim Bowman). Still present this evening (John Spottiswood, Clifford Sharpe, David Knight).

Bird News Saturday 22nd July

The Black-winged Pratincole is still present at Blanketnook. A White-tailed Eagle was also present (Garry Armstrong)

The Carlingford Lough Osprey  was seen at a about a quarter mile from Victoria Lock on the Newry side this morning (John Barry)

The Wood Sandpiper remains at Portmore (Michael Latham)

There are likely to be two Yellow Wagtails at Myroe. A possible Black-headed Wagtail (Garry Armstrong) and a juvenile flavissima (Derek Brennan)

4 Whimbrel, an adult Med Gull and a Stock Dove were the best at Ballykelly saltmarsh. (Richard Gray)

An adult Little Gull is at Lady Bay today (Michael Latham)

Bird News Thursday 20th July

The Black-winged Pratincole is still at the Letterkenny end of Blanketnook, Co Donegal (Noel Keogh). The bird was still present late afternoon. (Garry Wilkinson)

Yesterday an Osprey was seen in Carlingford Lough at the mussel beds at Killowen at roughly 6.50pm.

The Yellow Wagtail (possibly Black-headed) is at Myroe, Lough Foyle again this morning (Stephen Riddell)

This afternoon Portmore had the Wood Sandpiper, 2 Ruff, and 2 Greenshank (Richard Caves)

A Hobby was in the Antrim Hills (Jack Davidson per Stephen Dunbar)

Bird News Wednesday 19th July

The Black-winged Pratincole was still showing at Blanketnook, Donegal (Michael Latham). The bird is with Lapwing and it favours the grassy shoreline viewable from the Moyle \ Letterkenny end of Blanketnook.

The Yellow Wagtail, possibly a Black-headed type, is still at Myroe (Martin Deehan). (It has not been ruled out that this bird could be different to the one seen on Monday)

A Green Sandpiper is back along the River Maine at Slaght near Ballymena today (David Steele)

The Wood Sandpiper is still showing well at Portmore plus 2 Ruff and a Greenshank. 25 Black-tailed Godwit were on the sand bar at Lady Bay. (Richard Caves)

The Black-winged Pratincole continues at the Moyle end of Blanket Nook in Donegal along with at least 9 Greenshank, a Whooper, Mediterranean Gull, Ruff and Peregrine. (Chris Murphy)

Black-winged Pratincole remains at Blanket Nook, Co Donegal this morning still in the grass on far bank viewing from the causeway (Gerard Murray/Martin Deehan). Still present 1215 (Michael Hoit). Still hawking insects over nearby fields mid afternoon (BAND). Showing on and off in the grass this evening (Luke Costello). Present 1900 at least along with a Wood Sandpiper in the north east corner. (Richard Gray). Present until dusk (Michael O’Clery).
