Bird News Wednesday 19th July

The Black-winged Pratincole was still showing at Blanketnook, Donegal (Michael Latham). The bird is with Lapwing and it favours the grassy shoreline viewable from the Moyle \ Letterkenny end of Blanketnook.

The Yellow Wagtail, possibly a Black-headed type, is still at Myroe (Martin Deehan). (It has not been ruled out that this bird could be different to the one seen on Monday)

A Green Sandpiper is back along the River Maine at Slaght near Ballymena today (David Steele)

The Wood Sandpiper is still showing well at Portmore plus 2 Ruff and a Greenshank. 25 Black-tailed Godwit were on the sand bar at Lady Bay. (Richard Caves)
