Bird News Monday 17th July

Black-winged Pratincole remains at Blanket Nook, Co Donegal this morning still in the grass on far bank viewing from the causeway (Gerard Murray/Martin Deehan). Still present 1215 (Michael Hoit). Still hawking insects over nearby fields mid afternoon (BAND). Showing on and off in the grass this evening (Luke Costello). Present 1900 at least along with a Wood Sandpiper in the north east corner. (Richard Gray). Present until dusk (Michael O’Clery).

Blue-headed (type) Yellow Wagtail Myroe Levels this morning (Michael Hoit).

Wood Sandpiper still at Portmore Lough (Donna & Stephen Riddell).

5 Common Sandpipers, 8+ Bar-tailed Godwit, 5+ Arctic Tern at Belfast Lough RSPB WoW Reserve mid afternoon also 6 Bar-tailed Godwit Kinnegar Shore (Bob Watts).
