Bird News Thursday 10th September

A juvenile White-tailed Eagle is this morning on Rathlin. Originally found last night (James O'Neil per Mark Smyth)

A Manx Shearwater was at Oxford Island this morning (David Nixon)

RSPB Belfast WOW had 1 knot, 1 ruff, 400 curlew, 110 teal, 14 wigeon and 1 sparrowhawk (Derek Polley)

At Ballykelly 96 Brent geese, also 5 Little Egrets; Bann estuary had 3 Ruffs. (Hill Dick/Peter Robinson)

Our thanks to everyone who has reported Brent Geese this week, good numbers of birds have now arrived... which is an indication that autumn is here.
