Bird News Saturday 28th January

There have been 2 groups of Waxwings in Lisburn this week. First group of 25 to 30 were in Tesco carpark.(early in the morning). The second group 30 to 40, in the housing estates at the Duncans Road, Mageralave road junction. (Chris Veale)

Three Waxwings and two Redwings were still feeding on the berries at Donard Court, Bangor (Stephen Macauley).

5 Waxwings were in a garden in Knockmore, Lisburn today, see picture below. (Kevin Kirkham-Brown).

A Dipper was on the Lagan in Dromore Park this morning.

7 Waxwing were at the rear of the leisure centre in Gilford this afternoon. (Clifford McCready).

The 2nd winter Ring-billed Gull was still at the Round O jetty in Enniskillen, an adult Iceland Gull and a 3rd winter Glaucous x Herring hybrid were at Enniskillen dump. (Brad Robson).

The Black Redstart and the Twite flock are still in Whitehead. (Wilton Farrelly).

There were approximately fifty Waxwing on the Ballyclare Road in Newtownabbey, They were close to the junction of Cedar Lodge. (Jason Bain).
