Bird News Friday 9th June

A Quail was singing at the south-west corner of Lough Beg about 1530, in the grassy field between the farm and the marshy area. Also a late whimbrel and an Osprey out on the Beg. (David Steele)

An unseasonal Glaucous Gull and a Red-throated Diver were at the Gobbins, Islandmagee today. (Kerry Leonard)

A Cuckoo was calling this morning in Slieve Gullion Forest Park, Co, Armagh (Frank Carroll)

On Tory Island, a 1st sum Iceland Gull was in The harbour & a Canada Goose on the eastern lake (John Coveney)
