Bird News Saturday 3rd November

A Marsh Harrier was seen at Oxford Island, over Croaghan Island. Also in the area were a Peregrine and 40 Whooper Swan (Ed O’Hara)

A late Willow Warbler was showing well in Brannys Lane, Killough (Chris Murphy)

A Barn Owl was seen in flight last night at Rasharkin Co. Antrim. (David Morrow)

A juvenile Glaucous Gull was on Rathlin along with 3 Pink-footed Geese. Yesterday the ringtail Hen Harrier and 3 Brambling were present (Ric Else / Hazel Watson)

A small group of Scaup and a Red-throated Diver were at Dargan Bay. 7 Snipe were at Kinnegar (Michael Latham)

4 Sandwich Tern were at Portaferry (John Wilson Foster)

3 Twite were at Whitehead Promenade also near the boat compound was a 1st Winter Med Gull. (Cameron Moore)
