Bird News Wednesday 6th March

This morning two Jack Snipe were along the Newry Canal, just north of Gamble's Bridge. (Frank Carroll).

A Great Spotted Woodpecker visited feeders in a garden in Poyntzpass, Co. Armagh today. (Joe Devlin).

Two immature White-tailed Eagles were at Boa Island on Lower Lough Erne. (Birdguides).

St Johns Point at lunch time produced, 7 Common Scoter, 1 Red-throated Diver and 1 Raven. New Canal north of Newry had 1 Kingfisher and 5 Redwings. (Fulton Somerville).
