Bird News Thursday 4th July

The adult Rose-coloured Starling was seen again in Castleglen Grove, Dundrum, this morning, see pictures below. (Sean Hennessy).Bird still present until 5pm. (Gerard McGeehan, Shirley Dunlop, Garry Wilkinson).

A Roseate Tern was at the WOW reserve this afternoon. (Ian Enlander)

A Common Sandpiper and 2 Dunlin where at the WOW reserve, Belfast. (Derek Polley)

Yesterday two Greenshank and two Common Sandpipers were at Belfast WOW reserve. (Gerard McGeehan).

A Whooper Swan was in Mill Bay,Rathlin today. (Colin Guy).

Also on Rathlin three Great Skua were at Kebble and a pair of Twite were feeding two young at the west light, see picture below. (Ric Else & Hazel Watson).

An adult Cuckoo was on the upper edge of Slievanorra Forest. (Dick Glasgow).
