Bird News Monday 9th August

An immature White-tailed Eagle was seen flying low, heading south over the Cherryhill / Dunlady Road area of Dundonald last night (Don, Linda and Natasha Scott)

Belfast WoW reserve had at least 10 Bar-tailed Godwit. Also Common Sand on Kinnegar Pools. (Bob Watts)

A Great Skua passed Ramore Head this morning, a small flock of Purple Sandpipers where also present. (Stephen Riddell).

A Whimbrel was at Mill Bay on Rathlin. (Tom Ennis).

A Curlew Sandpiper was with 2 Common Sandpipers at Lady Bay, Lough Neagh this evening. (Nigel Moore).

A Red Kite was between Augher and Clogher. (Mark Smith).
