Bird News Friday 1st December

 The Waxwings are still on Islandmagee Road in Whitehead this morning. (Robin Kitchen)

Around 30 Twite are at Ramore Head in Portrush and the Common Scoter is still near the coastal zone. (Juliet Fleming).

There are still 25+ Waxwings 2 miles south of Castlerock on Artidillon Road near the Glebe Road junction. (John Spottiswood). The flock had increased to around 60 birds this afternoon. (Stephen Riddell).

2 Slavonian Grebes, 2 Long-tailed Ducks and 80 Common Scoter were off Macedon Point in Belfast Lough. (Stuart McKee).

The Spotted Redshank was still at Ballycarry Bridge in Larne Lough. 3 Goosander and 6 Whooper Swans were at Glynn. (Cameron Moore).

5 Goosander were at Loughislandreavey. (Richard Weyl).

The Ring-necked Duck is still at Bellinaleck. (Ronan Owens).

A Cattle Egret and the Spotted Redshank are still at Mullagh at the south end of Lough Beg, 5 Long-tailed Ducks are still on the lake. (David Steele).
