Bird News Saturday 3rd February

The Waxwing flock is still on the Kings Road (near Cabin Hill Park) in Belfast. (Wilton Farrelly). The birds were still present at 3.30 this afternoon. (Frank & Sharon Carroll).

The adult Iceland Gull was on rocks in Belfast Harbour opposite D3.(Daniel Newton).

A male Smew was off the carpark to the east of Todds Corner, Ardmore on the south shore of Lough Neagh. (Garry Armstrong, Ed O’Hara).

The Great White Egret was still at Reedy Flats. (Ed O'Hara).

Three Cattle Egrets were still at Shore Road outside Toomebridge. (Aaron Long).

Five Pinkfeet were off Glynn in Larne Lough. (Brian Halligan).

A Little Gull was at Briggs Rocks this morning. (Richard Weyl).

A hybrid Ring-necked Duck  x Tufted Duck was at Stoneyford Reservoir. (Ivan Quail & Nicky Lynn).
