Bird News Wednesday 27th March

The Ring-necked Duck and the Lesser Scaup were both still present at Kinnegoe marina at Oxford Island. Several Swallows and Sand Martins were also present. (Ed O'Hara).

Three Wheatear and two Mediterranean Gulls were at Belfast Lough RSPB WoW reserve. (Gerard McGeehan, Shirley Dunlop)

A Great White Egret was on the south shore of Lough Beg. (Jim Wells).

Fifteen Waxwings were still in Ward Park in Bangor. (Tim Murphy).

Ten Waxwings were on the Old Coleraine Road in Portstewart this afternoon. (Sean Hickey)
