Bird News Friday 11th January

The Bittern at Inch Island in Donegal showed briefly this afternoon. (Michael Casey & Seamus Feeney, Birdwatch Sligo).

A Black Swan was with Whooper Swans at Myroe, see pictures below. (Dessie Loughrey).

7 Gadwall and 2 Pochard were at Orlock reservoir. (Sam Scott).

The Black-throated Diver and 4 Red-throated Diver were still off Groomsport (George Gordon).

The Bann Estuary had 1 Slavonian Grebe, 17 Red-breasted Merganser, 43 Sanderling, 235 Golden Plover, 315 Lapwing and 2 Red-throated Diver.(Hill Dick).
