Bird News Friday 12th September

At Blanketnook, Co Donegal were the Lesser Yellowlegs, at least 6 Curlew Sands and 2+ Ruff (Chris Ingram).

Belfast Harbour Lagoon over the day had the Pectoral Sandpiper. a Curlew Sandpiper, at least 12 Ruff, 75 Bar-tailed Godwit (one in full and 5 in partial summer plumage) and 10 Knot (Stuart McKee, Tom Ennis, Rickie Lort).  

An adult wing-tagged White Tailed Eagle was at Lower Lough Erne Islands RSPB (Brad Robson).

On the Antrim Plateau 50 Goldfinch, 2 Buzzard, a Kestrel, Sparrowhawk and Raven were along Star Bog Road (Billy Hamilton).  

75 Pale-bellied Brent flew east at Ballintoy (Derek McIntyre).
