Bird News Wednesday 17th February

The Iceland Gull was at Whiteabbey, Belfast Lough today. 310 Pied Wagtails were counted going to roost in the trees at Bridge Street, Belfast City this evening. (Paul McCullough)

Portrush today had 29 Purple Sandpipers on the Lansdowne shoreline (Hill Dick / Sean Hickey)

The Ring-billed Gull was at East Strand Car Park. (Hill Dick)

The flooded fields opposite the brickworks in Killough had 2,000 Golden Plover, 1,000 Lapwing, 50 Dunlin, a Little Egret and 2 Shelduck (David Clarke)
