Bird News Monday 15th January.

The 1st winter Iceland Gull was at Carrickfergus.(Gerald McGeehan)

The Glossy Ibis and Great White Egret both still at the south end of Lough Beg today. Mullagh had the three over-wintering Little Stints, ten Ruff and a Greenland White-fronted Goose. (David Steele)

A Glossy Ibis was seen briefly nr Aghagallon, Lough Neagh around mid-day, a ring tail Hen Harrier was showing well at RSPB Portmore Lough reserve.(David Nixon/Phillip McHaffie)

The flock of Bramblings just outside Fintona on the Donacavey Rd has risen to around 20 birds, they seem to feeding on the beech mast.( Annette Elkin)
