Bird News Sunday 14th January

The drake Ring-necked Duck was with circa 50 Tufted Duck at the Templewater, Castle Ward, Co Down (Stuart McKee)

The Pink-footed Goose was feeding with a flock of 78 Greylag at Ballycarry, Larne Lough (Adam McClure)

There are around 10 twite at the scout hall in Whitehead. (David Stirling)

A ring tail Hen Harrier was at Killard, Co Down (Garry Armstrong)

A juv Hen Harrier was at Portmore Lough (Daniel Newton)

Two red-headed Goosander were still at Corbet Lake, Banbridge this morning (Frank Carroll)

On Rathlin Island, the adult Glaucous Gull was at Ushet Lough. Also present on the Island were two ring tail Hen Harriers and two Peregrine (Ric Else and Hazel Watson)

A second year Little Gull was at Glenarm (Pauline Majury)
