Bird News Tuesday 29th December

A first winter Iceland Gull was on rocks at Portstewart Promenade (S Riddell).

A Great Spotted Woodpecker was in the woodland on the way up to Helens Tower in Clandeboye Estate. (James Andrew).

The Bufflehead was still present at the Quoile, it was seen distantly at the yacht-club end. (Michael Latham / James Rankin)

7 Whooper Swans were at Corbet Lough outside Banbridge. (Mike McLaughlin).

A high count of 54 Gadwall were at the Billy Neill Playing Fields, Dundonald (Ross McIlrath)
