Bird News Saturday 22nd May

Late news of a Hoopoe sighted on Bishop Road, Co L’Derry on the 14th May. It was the Limavady side, about 1m from the BBC Transmitter. (John B Harkin).

The 2 Dark-bellied Brent were still with the small Brent flock on Kinnegar shore this morning. (Garry Armstrong).

A White-tailed Eagle flew over Helens Bay and Crawfordsburn early this afternoon. (Ronald Surgenor).

Two Cuckoos were seen flying together at Murlough, Co. Down. (Seamus O'Hara).

A Cuckoo and several Reed Warblers were at Blackers Island on the west shore of Lough Neagh. (Godfrey McRoberts).

A pod of Orcas from the Hebrides were off Copeland on Wednesday evening. (Garry Wilkinson).
