Bird News Saturday 8th May

A Pink-footed Goose was at Portmore Lough RSPB this morning, 2 Stock Doves and 2 Wheatear were at Ballinacor on the south shore of Lough Neagh. (Ed O'Hara).

A blue-headed Yellow Wagtail was at Belfast RSPB reserve this morning, a summer plumaged Sanderling was also present.  (Bob Watts,  Garry Armstrong).

A Glaucous Gull and 5 Manx Shearwaters were at Portstewart this morning. (Stephen Riddell).

An Osprey flew in off the sea at Torr Head in Co. Antrim. (Neal Warnock).

The Garganey was on the pool below the viewing platform at Portmore Lough RSPB. (Michael Latham).

A Dark-bellied Brent was still in Killough, St John's Point had 3 Puffin, a dark phase Arctic Skua and a Great Skua among a heavy visible migration. (Stuart McKee).

A Cuckoo was calling at Ballymacormick Point. (James Andrew).
