The Golden Eagle Trust and the RSPB have announced the latest figures for breeding birds in Counties Down and Wicklow.
Progress of Red Kite breeding since the reintroduction project began 4 years ago is as follows:

Since the project began in Northern Ireland in 2008, four Red Kites have been killed due to illegal persecution, with one being shot and three dying as a result of poisons.
