A short hop.

NIBA got an interesting message from a Paul Daw who records birds for the Argyll region of Scotland. He kindly sent in a photo of a fem/imm Pallid Harrier seen of the Mull of Kintyre yesterday,(see photo below). As you all know this isn't to far off Fair Head and a very short flight for a BoP, so worth keeping an eye out in the coming days if your in the area. Although Pallid Harrier is now officially on the Northern Ireland list, only the 2 people who took the photographs got to see it, so a twitchable one would be most welcome and as you can see from the photo it is very distinctive!
