Bird News Saturday 14th April

The adult Little Gull and drake Green-winged Teal were still showing from Quoile Pondage hide. A Peregrine was feeding on mudflats in Killough Harbour along with a Carrion Crow. Approx 350 Brent still there. (David Nixon)
An adult Iceland Gull was at Ardglass (Declan Clarke).
2 Swallow were at Ballysillan in Belfast (Ricky McQuillan).
The second-summer Ring-billed Gull was at Groomsport (George Gordon).
A male Hen Harrier was outside Fivemiletown this evening. (Colin Bell)
Yesterday evening 2 Redwing (one singing) were along Churchfield Road in Ballycastle (Clive Mellon).
At Lough Beg between Church Island and Long Island were 6 Red Breasted Merganser, 4 male and 2 female, 2 Whooper Swan, 2 Pintail, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Shelduck, 2 Redshank, 2 Grey Heron, 2 Buzzard, 4 Tufted Duck and many Teal and Mallard. (John & Celine Loughlin).
