Bird News Saturday 26th March

The Little Gull and a summer plumage  Black throated Diver, are in Groomsport Harbour (Billy Miskelly). The Little Gull was still on Cockle Island this evening. (Michael Latham).

2 Velvet Scoter were still off Dargan Bay and 2 Slavonian Grebe were at Macedon Point (Richard Hunter)

The Black-necked Grebe was still at Ardmore (Garry Armstrong)

A Garganey and Glossy Ibis are at Portmore Lough (Ed O’Hara). The Ibis was still present at 3pm but there was no sign of the Garganey (Richard Gray)

On the east side of Strangford Lough there were 52 Slavonian Grebe (46 in Greyabbey Bay and 6 off Newtownards Sailing Club) and  2 Black-throated Diver in Greyabbey Bay.

An adult Iceland Gull was at Coleraine. (John Clarke).

A Common Sandpiper was at Belfast Lough RSPB WOW reserve. (David Stirling).

Two Ruff were at the east end of Reedy Flats. (Wilton Farrelly).
