Bird News Tuesday 1st August

A Pomarine Skua flew west up Belfast Lough this morning (James Andrew).

The Black-winged Pratincole remains at Blanket Nook, Co Donegal (Chris Ingram). Still present this evening showing very well in flight (Ronan McLaughlin & Mark Cullen).

Sea watching yesterday off Rathlin looking across the North Channel included a Great Skua and two distant Arctic Skuas, also Storm Petrels (Ric Else & Hazel Watson).

Egyptian Goose opposite to GAA club, Dunfanaghy, Co Donegal (Mike McLaughlin).

The adult American Golden Plover remains late evening at Myroe Levels at the north Roe end in the penultimate (ploughed) field (John Spottiswood).
