Bird News Saturday 9th September

4 Curlew Sandpipers are at Belfast Lough RSPB WoW reserve this morning. (Daniel Newton).

The American Golden Plover and the Pectoral  Sandpiper were still in the flooded fields along Canalbank Road outside Poyntzpass. (Michael Latham). Both birds were still present this afternoon along with 5 Ruff. (Ivan Quail & Nicky Lynn).

An Ortolan Bunting was at East Town on Tory Island. (Derek Brennan).

A Tree Pipit was heard in flight in the Mournes. (Stuart Cossey).

An Osprey was at the hide in Randalstown Forest this afternoon. (Warren McConnaughie).

A juvenile Sabine's Gull and 16+ Sooty Shearwaters were off the west end of Rathlin this morning. (Ric Else & Hazel Watson).

30 Brent Geese flew over Myroe this afternoon. (Mervyn Guthrie).
