Walter Veale

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Walter Veale. Walter was well known in NI birding circles and was a font of knowledge not just about birds but all our wildlife and our local built and natural environment. Having seen the Fox Sparrow on Copeland in June 1961, he was always able to remind us about a sighting that no one could match.

At this time, our condolences, thoughts and prayers are with his family and in particular his wife Marie and sons Chris and Nicolas.

Funeral arrangements are at: https://www.elwoodcapper.com/campaigns/mr-walter-henry-veale/
