Bird News Friday 14th March

100+ Whooper Swans were in fields along the Bann at Newferry. The entrance to Toome canal had 60 Whooper Swans, a Kingfisher, Red-breasted Merganser, 40+ Tufted Duck, 2 Great Crested Grebes and 4 Long-tailed Tits. (John Loughlin & Irene Miller).

25 Redwing and 6 Fieldfare were at Saintfield pastureland (Norma Price).
