Bird News Sunday 6th September

Late this afternoon a Buff-breasted Sandpiper turned up at Myroe.(Mervyn Guthrie) 

The Spoonbill is again at Faughanvale (Richard Donaghey)

6 Slavonian Grebe were off Myroe (Jeff Larkin)

49 Twite are on Rathlin and yesterday evening, a Short-eared Owl was present (Ric Else / Hazel Watson)

An Osprey is at the Bann Estuary this afternoon (Jeff Larkin)

WOW RSPB reserve had...a juvenile Little Gull, 3 adult Ruff, a Roseate Tern and a Chiffchaff(Stuart McKee)

Dipper & Grey Wag on the River Dall, at Cushendall, Co Antrim, this afternoon.(Kevin Kirkham)

Rathlin had a Short-eared Owl last night, this morning the Twite flock is up to 40 birds.(Ric Else/Hazel Watson)

At Millisle there was an Arctic Skua and 10 Red-throated Diver. Yesterday there were 4 White Wagtail at Kearney. (Richard Weyl)

An adult White-rumped Sandpiper was at Blanket Nook, at the Moyle end, associating with half a dozen  Dunlin, till 2030. (Graham Mitchell)
