Bird News Tuesday 8th September

A Brent Goose showing characteristics of Grey-bellied was present mid-morning on Strangford Lough, viewed from the Floodgates car-park, Newtownards. (N Milligan)

The White-rumped Sandpiper was still at Banketnook, Donegal. A Ruddy Shelduck was also present (Robert Vaughan).

A Lapland Bunting was at Copeland Bird Observatory with a passage Sabine's Gull and Roseate Tern also seen. (Ollie Padget).

The Spoonbill was off Derry City Airport as viewed from beyond Shore Road, Greysteel. (John Spottiswood)

A passage of 30 Mistle Thrushes were seen at Slieve Gullion this morning. (Frank Carroll)

A 1st winter Med Gull was at Whitehead (Adam McClure)

A single Swift was with a small flock of Swallows and House Martins along the coast west of Bangor. (Derek Polley).
