Bird News Tuesday 13th September

Whitehouse Lagoon this morning had a single Curlew Sandpiper and 2 Mediterranean Gulls, an adult and a 1st year. (Kevin Kirkham).

There were 3 Curlew Sandpipers and 3 Ruff at Belfast Lough RSPB WOW reserve this morning. (Daniel Newton).

4 Arctic Skuas were at Magilligan at midday. (John Clarke).

An Osprey was on the River Derg, Co. Tyrone, about a mile upstream from Ardstraw. It flew down river towards Ardstraw and the River Mourne. (Tony McCormick).

9 Ravens were over the Dromore Road in Ballynahinch this afternoon. (Gregory Heaney).

The Osprey is still at the Quoile this afternoon. (Gerry Judge). The Osprey was still off the hide this evening. (Dave Weir).

Ballymacormick Point had 10 Curlew Sandpipers, 2 White Wagtails and 5 Mediterranean Gulls. (James Andrew).

The ringtail Hen Harrier was still at Portmore Lough RSPB. (Chris Shaw).

Belfast Lough RSPB WOW reserve this afternoon had 3 Curlew Sandpipers and 4 Ruff, an adult and 3 juveniles. (Tom Ennis).

Copeland over the day had a Balearic Shearwater, 2 Sooty Shearwaters and an Arctic Skua among 2,000 Manx Shearwaters. (David Galbraith, Chris Acheson).
