Bird News Wednesday 7th September

 The Black Tern is still in Kinnegoe Bay, Oxford Island this morning. (Ed O'Hara).

A Little Stint and 11 Curlew Sandpipers, 10 juveniles and an adult, were outside the hide at the Barmouth this morning. (Dean Jones).

RSPB WoW had 10 Curlew Sandpiper and 5 Ruff this morning (Gerard McGeehan) A juvenile Little Gull was there this afternoon and 2 Ruff on Kinnegar pool. (Garry Armstrong).

A ringtail Hen Harrier and 2 Kestrels were on Divis this morning. (John O'Boyle).

Sea watching from Rathlin this morning between 8.00 and 12.00 produced a juvenile Sabine's Gull. juvenile Little Gull, 175+ Sooty Shearwaters, 3 Storm Petrel, single Arctic and Great Skuas, 2 Red-throated Divers, 2 Arctic/Common Terns, 6 migrating Snipe among large numbers of Gannets, Manx Shearwaters, Kittiwakes, Fulmars and auks. The Curlew Sandpiper was still in Church Bay. (Ric Else & Hazel Watson).

A juvenile Mediterranean Gull was outside the hide at the Barmouth. (Donna Riddell).

A Red Kite was in the Antrim hills. (Kenny Moore).

15 Mediterranean Gulls were on the beach at Portavogie and another 15 in the fields at Kirkiston. (Dermot Hughes).

A Buff-breasted Sandpiper and 8 Curlew Sandpipers are in a ploughed field opposite the turf fields at Myroe. (Theo Campbell).

The Little Ringed Plover was still at Seagahan Dam today. (John Cusack).
