Bird News Monday 12th August

At least two Osprey are at the Bann Estuary this morning (Martin Deehan / Jonny Rosborough). It is believed that up to 3 Osprey have been present.

Whitehouse Lagoon has a Mediterranean Gull and Whimbrel (Kevin Kirkham)

The Marsh Harrier was still at Lough Beg today, hunting widely around the area. Two juvenile Cuckoos were also seen. Also Osprey, juvenile Garganey and 15 Ruff (including one juvenile) at Lough Beg later today. (David Steele)

A Red Kite was flying low over stubble fields off Drumnamether Road near Clare, Tandragee (Clifford Sharpe)
