Bird News Saturday 3rd August

A juvenile Mediterranean Gull, 2 Whimbrel and 2 inland Sandwich Terns were at Oxford Island this morning. (Garry Armstrong, Ed O’Hara).

A Red Kite was 2 miles east of Clough beside Ballydugan Road. (Bob Watts).

An adult Little Gull was again at Lady Bay, Lough Neagh. (Michael Latham).

An Osprey, a Garganey, juvenile Greenshank and a juvenile Cuckoo were at Lough Beg this afternoon. Yesterday a Green Sandpiper was along the River Maine at Slaght Bridge. (David Steele).

A Short-eared Owl was on Rathlin. (Ric Else & Hazel Watson).

A Ruff and 3 Common Sandpipers were at Belfast Lough RSPB WoW reserve. (Michael Latham).
