American Golden Plover is a rare but probably overlooked visitor to Northern Ireland. This autumn at least 6 different individuals were identified, 3 adults and 3 juveniles. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues in future autumns. Northern Irelands first Pacific Golden Plover has yet to be found and maybe July could be the best month to look for one!
