Bird News Friday 4th January

Late news from yesterday was of a flock of 30 Waxwings in Parkland Avenue in Lisburn. (Colin Mitchell).

A juvenile Iceland Gull was in Ardglass harbour. (Bird Guides).

A colour ringed Waxwing and 4 Brambling have been visiting a garden in Whitehead, see pictures below. (Cameron Moore).

3 Gannet were at Portmuck this morning, 22 Harbour Porpoise were also present. (Ian Enlander).

An adult Mediterranean Gull flew across the road heading inland from the beach at Ballyholme in Bangor. (Kerry Leonard).

In Strangford Lough today a Great Northern Diver and a Red-throated Diver were off Killyleagh, 4 Great Northern Diver and a Slavonian Grebe were off Monaghan Bank at Kircubbin. (Keith Bennett).

A Red Kite was at Croskelt and a Kestrel on the M1 near Lisburn. (Stephen Maxwell).
