Bird News Friday 3rd May

Cuckoo heard at Knocklayde, Ballycastle this morning. There was also one at Slieveanorra on Saturday 28th April (Dick Glasgow).

2nd-winter Ring-billed Gull was at Kinnegar Shore and a Yellow Wagtail was at Belfast Harbour RSPB (Ronald Surgenor / Gerard McGeehan).

4 Waxwing were along Donegall Avenue in Whitehead (Cameron Moore).

2 Grasshopper Warbler were at Beragh in Tyrone (Mark Smyth).

Yesterday, 2 Waxwings were sighted on Agherton Road, Portstewart at approx 7.45pm.
