Bird News Thursday 12th December

The Spoonbill was seen around the main lake at Castle Espie this morning (Fulton Sommerville)

The visitor centre at RSPB Belfast Harbour reserve has reopened, the roadside hide shall reopen towards the end of the week.

A small flock of Fieldfare were in a field along Lylehill Road near Belfast. (Ivan Daglish)

6 Ruff and 1,800 Lapwing were at Lough Beg (David Steele)

The 2 Long-tailed Duck were still along the River Quoile past the visitors centre (Ivor McDonald)

Inner Donegal Bay had a juv Glaucous Gull south of Murvagh Beach. A Long tailed Duck was on Dernesh Lough (Brad Robson)
