Bird News Thursday 3rd April

A male Smew was at Inch Island lake in Donegal. (Irish Birding).

At Larne Lough a Glossy Ibis was at Glynn. Also present were a fem/imm Goosander and 7 Mediterranean Gull (5 adult, a second-year and a first-year). One of the adults had a green ring and the second-year had a white ring (Cameron Moore).  

A Garden Warbler was reported from the River Lagan in Lisburn where there is a bend in the river near the Coca Cola factory. (Vernon Carter).
