Bird News Thursday 12th February

Yesterday Lough Island Reavey had a male Goosander; Bannanstown Road Castlewellan had 2 Red Kites. Minerstown had a female Merlin. Newcastle Harbour had 17 Purple Sandpiper. (Robert Hart, Michael Richardson & Fulton Somerville)

The Spotted Redshank was at Belfast Lough RSPB Reserve (Matthew Tickner, Ann Guichard, Hill Dick)
