Bird News Thursday 4th February

Two Chiffchaff were in the wooded area beside the pumping station at Kinnegar, Belfast Lough. (John Edwards)

The Black Redstart was still at Newcastle Harbour. (James Rankin)

An Iceland Gull was at the RSPB Belfast Harbour reserve.(Birdguides)

A Pink-footed Goose and Greenland White-fronted Goose were at Larne Lough. 18 Twite were at the boat yard at Whitehead. Also at Whitehead was a Black-headed Gull with a green ring J896 (Cameron Moore, Joe Lamont).

Yesterday a first winter Little Gull was at Rathmullan along with two Iceland Gulls (David McIlveen)see pic below
