Bird News Tuesday 7th February

A Great Northern Diver and 5 Red-throated Divers were off Whitehead. The Black Redstart was up round the path towards the lighthouse (Gerard McGeehan)

The Waxwing flock were still at the bottom of Oriel Road in Antrim (Richard Hunter).

There were 10 Sandwich Terns at Portaferry today, the highest count of the winter. (John Wilson Foster).

A Mediterranean Gull, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 600 Black-headed Gulls were at Corbet Lough today. (Robin Vage).
