Bird News Thursday 27th December

2 male Long-tailed Duck were at Loughshore, Belfast Lough. Glynn had 7 Greenshank and 2 Dippers on the adjoining river (Gerard McGeehan / Shirley Dunlop)

A Common Sandpiper was in the small bay south of Garron point feeding on the wrack (Davy Hunter)

Killard Point Co.Down had..a female Merlin, huge mixed Sparrow flocks at least 70 Yellowhammer and 200  Skylark.(Dermot Hughes)
