Bird News Monday 26th October

The Cattle Egret was with cattle in the field at the end of Barmouth Road by parking layby at level crossing (road to NT Barmouth hide) at 07.45. (John Spottiswood)

The Great White Egret was again at Castle Espie this morning (Jonathan Clark). Another Cattle Egret was also present at Castle Espie this morning (Ross McIlrath). Both birds were still present at lunchtime, viewable from the cafe. (Ian Enlander)

The Long-billed Dowitcher was seen again at Mullagh, Lough Beg this afternoon, also a single Pink-footed Goose. (David Steele)

Up to 60 Whooper Swans have been roosting on and off at Strand Lough, Killough, for past fortnight (Chris Murphy)
