Bird News Thursday 20th July

The Black-winged Pratincole is still at the Letterkenny end of Blanketnook, Co Donegal (Noel Keogh). The bird was still present late afternoon. (Garry Wilkinson)

Yesterday an Osprey was seen in Carlingford Lough at the mussel beds at Killowen at roughly 6.50pm.

The Yellow Wagtail (possibly Black-headed) is at Myroe, Lough Foyle again this morning (Stephen Riddell)

This afternoon Portmore had the Wood Sandpiper, 2 Ruff, and 2 Greenshank (Richard Caves)

A Hobby was in the Antrim Hills (Jack Davidson per Stephen Dunbar)
