Bird News Monday 16th October

The Short-eared Owl is still near St John's Point this morning. (David Stirling). The bird was still present this evening. (Stephen Dunbar)

Yesterday three Snow Buntings and a Hen Harrier were on Rathlin along with a Common Redpoll among a flock of Lesser Redpolls, late Wheatear, Swallows and House Martins. (Ric Else & Hazel Watson).

Two Twite were between Whitehead and White Harbour. (Adam McClure).

A female Brambling was in a garden in Coleraine. (Donna Riddell).
